After Babylon laid siege to Jerusalem, Daniel was deported to Babylon. He was in a place he did not want to be, surrounded by people he did not want to be with, and was asked to do things he did not want to do. Sound familiar? Jesus prayed to His Father that He would leave us in the world, not take us out of it. Until Jesus returns, we must live in a world hostile towards God and remain faithful to Him at all costs. By looking at Daniel's life in Babylon we can gain some necessary insight into how we remain faithful in our "Babylon."
